- Bullion Fringe. This style of fringe is a decorative heavier rayon loop fringe with a twist. The fringe is colourfast and dry cleaning is recommended.
It is extensively used in home decorating, adding a touch of olde world charm to curtains, cushions, bolsters, throws, bedspreads and table covers. It has applications for theatrical decoration and church alter cloths and robes.
- Carpet Fringe. Is a heavy cotton fringe which is used as an edging on towels and heavy cotton bags. It can be glued around the edges of mats and floor rugs as a decorative edging. The fringing can be dyed to suit.
- Cotton Fringe. Is a light weight pure cotton fringe which can be dyed. It is used to decorate light weight clothing, and to edge table cloths and mats.
- Cut Fringe or Sash Fringe. This is made from fine colourfast 3 ply twisted rayon. It is light weight and the bottom edge is cut to hang as single threads and as the name implies is used to edge sachets and decorate banners. It is used in lampshade making, decorating dance costumes and decorating ballet costumes. It can be cut and rolled to make tassels and wedding accessories. Dry cleaning is recommended.
- Loop Fringe. This is a more durable fringe as it is made from finely braided baby gimp. A series of same length loops are stitched to a heading band. This makes the loop fringe more suitable for articles and garments that need cleaning more often. It is ideal for dance costumes, fancy dress costumes, lampshades, decoration on clothing, and wedding accessories. The fringe can be over dyed to create a series of variegated colours.
- Metallic Fringe. This has a shiny metallic finish and is used as a decorative finish where glitz and glamour is required. Dry cleaning is recommended.
