Wadding and Fillings

We sell sheets of snowy white soft foam, Australian Made thin wadding similar to pellon, soft filling/stuffing for toys and Australian Made economical Wadding/Batting with loft.

Foam Sheets. These snowy white soft foam sheets are packed in a cellophane shrink wrap packs. If stored in a black plastic bag after opening the sheets will remain white. They discolour in daylight. These sheets are convenient when a small amount of product is required. The sheets that are suitable for padding wooden coat hangers and other small craft items.
Fine Wadding. This is exclusively made in Australia for Pioneer Craft. It is a soft thin 90 gram wadding similiar to pellon. The advantage is the width which is 1.2metres making it very cost effective and it can be used for more applications than the 90 cms wide rolls. It is used for backing light weight quilts and table runners. It adds warmth and body to Jackets, can be used for lining fabric bags, for pram covers, and cot quilts and for most projects where a light padding is required. It washes and wears well.
Toy Stuff. The Toy Stuff is a new soft filling used for making toys and is suitable for baby items. (The original toy stuff was a hard nylon blend that is no longer available)
Wadding/Batting. We stock Wadding/Batting in 2 weights, 80grams with a loft of 1cm and 100grams with a loft of 2cms. Both weights are 150cms wide and are available in 20 metre rolls. The bulk roll of 80 grams is 150cms x 50 metres. The bulk roll of 100gram is 150cms x 40 metres. The bulk rolls are the most economical way to purchase this product because the shipping cost for the 20metre roll is only slightly more than that for the larger rolls. The 100 gram wadding is also available in half width rolls, 75cms x 20metres. This is ideal for small craft projects and is easy to handle. Usually we can vacuum pack one of these rolls on top of your parcel so it travels almost freight free! The wadding adds loft to quilts, is used in framing, and can be used to filter the water in fish tanks!
